Welcome to August! A month of golden sunsets, lingering warmth, and the bittersweet beauty of summer’s final act. As days slowly shorten and back-to-school preparations begin, let August be your invitation to savor what remains of the season, soak in simple joys, and prepare for new beginnings.
Ways to Make the Most of August:
🌻 Savor Late-Summer Traditions: Attend local fairs, outdoor concerts, or community events. Host one more barbecue or gathering before summer ends.
⛺ Enjoy the Outdoors: Go for a late-summer swim, camp under the stars, or hike in the early morning cool. Notice how nature begins to hint at autumn.
Indulge in Seasonal Flavors: Feast on ripe peaches, corn on the cob, tomatoes, and other late-summer harvests. Try canning or preserving to capture summer’s taste.
🧘 Prioritize Self-Care: Balance activity with relaxation. Take time for reflection, mindfulness, and gentle movement—perhaps outdoor yoga or evening strolls.
🌅 Relish Sunrises & Sunsets: August skies are especially beautiful. Make a ritual of watching the sunrise or sunset, appreciating the fleeting colors.
🎒 Prepare for New Beginnings: Organize for the upcoming school year or work projects. Refresh your space and routines to welcome the coming season.
🎨 Celebrate Creativity: Capture summer memories in a journal, scrapbook, or art project. Try something new before summer slips away.
🤗 Strengthen Connections: Gather with friends and family for picnics, game nights, or simple shared moments that foster warmth and togetherness.
🌟 Reflect & Set Intentions: Look back on your summer adventures, celebrate your growth, and set intentions for autumn’s fresh start.
Let August be a month of gratitude, gentle transitions, and soaking up every last drop of summer. Embrace each day with wonder and carry the warmth of the season into what’s next! 🌞

As a Delaware transplant, I understand the process of moving into a new state and I am excited to help be a part of your next chapter. In 2013 I graduated from Stevenson University. During my time at Stevenson, I had the privilege of being a part of the 2013 National Champion Lacrosse team as well as earn my degree in Business Information Systems. After graduating, my State Farm journey officially began as a team member in a local office in Maryland. Although that was my official start with State Farm, it has been my childhood dream to become a State Farm Agent (boring I know). However, I am a 3rd generation agent with about 20 family members working within the company. So yes, I do bleed red. Today, I have replaced my lacrosse teammates with Smyrna-Clayton Rotary members. In which I have been a part of since 2017. Through working with the Smyrna Clayton Rotary Club, we have been able to do a lot for the local community. Everything from roadside clean ups to scholarships for local high school graduates for their higher education. However, I have not stopped there. Currently I am an assistant coach for the Smyrna High school boy’s lacrosse team. This opportunity has been beyond rewarding for me. It has allowed me to combine two of my passions into one. I was able to help grow the game of lacrosse as well as help support the local community. When I am not working to help my customers, or coaching at the high school, I enjoy spending time on the water fishing, hanging out with friends and family and just relaxing on the beach.
My team and I look forward to helping you with auto insurance, home insurance, renters’ insurance, business insurance, and life insurance. Please stop by today or give us a call!
